Do I need a visa to enter Maldives?
A 30 days free tourist visa is given on arrival at the airport.
Can I bring in my own liqueur?
Import of liqueur, narcotics, pornography of all kinds, firearms, and idols of worship are prohibited. A large selection of alcoholic beverages is made available on Honors Legacy. If you wish to have a particular brand of drinks while on the boat, all attempts will be made to stock enough of your preferred brand provided you make the request in advance.
What kind of plug type do you have onboard?
We have 3 pin UK type power sockets on the boat and provide adapters for other plug types. The voltage is 220 V.
Do you have DIN/INT tanks?
We can provide for both connections, so no need to bring adapters
What size of tanks do you provide?
We provide 11.5 and 13.5 liter aluminium tanks FOC and have 15 liter steel tanks upon request and at an extra charge. As we only have a limited number of 15 liter steel tanks it is important to reserve them in advance.
Is there Nitrox on board?
Yes, Nitrox is payable on board. Please inform us in advance in the guest information form.
What is the average water temperature?
Average water temperature all year round is 27/28 degrees Celsius
Should I bring a reef hook?
Reef hooks can be useful particularly on channel dives with strong current. In case you do not have one, they are available for rent or to buy on Honors Legacy.
Do you have wireless internet onboard?
We have WiFi onboard that work on 3G basis. The internet connection will be good enough to read emails but not fast enough for large downloads. Connection speed depends on location of the boat. Fee will be of 35 USD per device for 7 night trips. We recommend that you purchase a local data SIM card upon arrival at Male’ airport.
Is dive gear available for rent?
Yes, Dive gear is available for rent, We recommend that you arrange rental prior to arrival.
Can I pay the extras by credit card on the boat?
Payments for extras taken on the boat can be settled in either cash (USD or EUROs) or by credit card. We accept all major credit cards (VISA, MASTER and AMERICAN EXPRESS). Please note 5% processing fee will apply to all credit card payments.
What credentials do I need for diving?
Certification Card and log book is required as proof of your training and experience. You are required to complete and sign a standard release and waiver form prior to the commencement of diving.
What if I get sick on board?
First Aid Kits and oxygen cylinders are available within easy reach. Evacuation will be made, when necessary, either to the nearest hyperbaric Chamber or to a hospital in Male’. You should have an adequate insurance cover to meet the expenses.
What can you offer for my non-diver spouse or companion?
Snorkeling and island visits depending on the schedule of the boat.
What type of food is served onboard?
Two expert chefs on board spoil our guests with mouth-watering meals day after day. We serve three gourmet meals a day. Snacks and fresh fruits are always available. Most meals will be a combination of Western and Eastern cuisine. A selection of beverages is always on hand; from soft drinks, juices and lemonade. Special dietary requests will be met within the confines of available means in the country.
Can I choose a particular dive site or a dive route?
We have carefully planned our dive routes to include all the underwater magic, Maldives has to offer, based on seasons and migratory routes marine life. However we can plan a customized dive route available on request basis (*conditions apply)
Should I leave a tip to the crew?
Gratuities are not included in our package. You may reward the crew if you find their service worthy of a generous tip. Most of our guests leave 10 – 15% of the liveaboard cost as a tip. All collected gratuities are pooled and divided equally among the crew.
What is the weather like in Maldives?
Situated across the equator in the Indian Ocean, the climate is tropical year-round. The air temperature averages 30° Celsius (86° F). The cooling effect of the sea breezes, however, makes most days balmy and genial.

Will I see mantas and whale sharks?
Mantas are sighted year-round in cleaning stations. Sometimes they are sighted in great swirling schools day after day. The best time for schooling mantas is June to October.
Whale sharks are sighted on 70% of our tours throughout the year.
Will someone meet me on arrival at Male’ Airport?
We will meet and greet you on arrival at Male’ Airport with the boat name board “Honors Legacy” and assist you with the necessary transfers.
