Baie de Hanifaru \u2013 Atoll de Baa<\/b><\/p>

La baie de Hanifaru est un v\u00e9ritable paradis pour les amateurs de plong\u00e9e libre en compagnie des raies manta et des requins-baleines. Cette r\u00e9serve de biosph\u00e8re de l'UNESCO, situ\u00e9e aux Maldives, est officiellement class\u00e9e comme zone marine prot\u00e9g\u00e9e. Des r\u00e9glementations strictes sont en vigueur afin de prot\u00e9ger et de pr\u00e9server cette merveille de la nature.<\/p>

Le r\u00e9cif de la baie d\u2019Hanifaru ressemble \u00e0 un entonnoir d\u2019environ 1 300 m\u00e8tres de long ; la partie la plus \u00e9troite de cet entonnoir, d\u2019environ 600 m\u00e8tres, est celle o\u00f9 l\u2019on observe le plus fr\u00e9quemment des requins-baleines et des raies manta. La saison des requins-baleines s\u2019\u00e9tend de mai \u00e0 d\u00e9cembre. Pendant cette p\u00e9riode, le plancton se retrouve pi\u00e9g\u00e9 dans ce r\u00e9cif en forme d'entonnoir, et sa concentration attire les requins-baleines ainsi que des bancs de raies manta. \u00c0 tout moment, on peut y observer plus d'une centaine de raies manta et plusieurs requins-baleines se nourrissant pr\u00e8s du r\u00e9cif corallien. Il s'agit de la plus grande zone d'alimentation connue au monde.<\/p>

Dans la baie de Hanifaru, vous pouvez faire de la plong\u00e9e avec tuba<\/strong>, la plong\u00e9e n'est plus autoris\u00e9e. Lors de votre plong\u00e9e en apn\u00e9e, vous devez respecter une distance appropri\u00e9e par rapport aux requins-baleines et aux raies manta : la distance minimale \u00e0 maintenir est de 3 m\u00e8tres \u00e0 partir de la t\u00eate du requin-baleine et de 4 m\u00e8tres \u00e0 partir de sa queue. Vous ne devez pas vous approcher de l\u2019animal par l\u2019avant ni croiser son chemin ; restez sur les c\u00f4t\u00e9s et nagez aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des requins-baleines. Il est autoris\u00e9 de prendre des photos, mais sans flash ; vous ne pouvez pas utiliser de scooter sous-marin ni d\u2019appareils motoris\u00e9s pour vous propulser. Il est interdit de toucher, de caresser ou m\u00eame de s\u2019approcher de trop pr\u00e8s, et des gardes forestiers form\u00e9s surveillent vos mouvements.<\/p>

Avant la mise en place de ces r\u00e9glementations, le site \u00e9tait surpeupl\u00e9 de bateaux et de touristes. \u00c0 un moment donn\u00e9, les populations de requins-baleines et de raies manta de la baie de Hanifaru ont connu une chute spectaculaire. Ces cr\u00e9atures ont peut-\u00eatre \u00e9t\u00e9 perturb\u00e9es par l'intervention humaine. C'est pourquoi ces r\u00e9glementations sont essentielles pour pr\u00e9server cette merveille de la nature.<\/p>
